Cast your mind back to July 2017.
It was a month that saw Justin Bieber's 'Depacito' become the most streamed song ever, (or as we liked to call him 'Spicey Mc Spice Spice') resign, and the seventh series of Game of Thrones finally hit our television screens.
However, it was also when Taylor Swift was at the centre of debate as to whether her new favourite form of transport wasn't the bus or subway, but a plastic .
Big news, right?
Despite Swift never confirming the rumours - there is precedent to this odd behaviour, but more on that later - former music collaborator and boyfriend to BFF Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik, has now taken it into his own hands to break his silence on 'suitcase-gate'.
In a new interview with Vogue, and his lack of one with his former band One Direction, but then proceeded to drop a pretty shocking statement about the suitcase drama.
'She was travelling around in a suitcase,' he told the magazine.
Of course, perhaps the 25-year-old singer was joking? But, for someone with such close ties to the Reputation award winner, it would be weird for Zayn to seemingly confirm rumours if they weren't true?
Rumours of the AMAs winner's love of climbing her 5ft 10 body inside hold luggage came about after photo agency Splash shared a photograph of bodyguards carrying suitcases from the 28-year-old's New York home with the caption:
Taylor Swift has been reportedly being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribecca apartment into her truck. A fleet of cars including two large cadillacs and three suv's arrive at Tailor Swift's apartment in Tribecca to move a large suitcase from apartment to truck. Almost a dozen of Taylor Swift security guards were present to move this package carefully as Taylor Swift remains to be unseen for a long time.
Hours later, it came no surprise then that Twitter latched onto the rumours and joked about the singer hopping inside a suitcase to get around town.
To be fair, if you were followed by the paparazzi 24/7, you'd probably also want to fold your body inside a suitcase to avoid the cameras. Then again, you could always avoid them by walking or , like Tay-Tay has done in the past.
Still, every time we see a suitcase, we'll always be wondering...
