They may have suffered a this year, but it sounds like Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid's relationship is now stronger than ever.
In an interview with , the 25-year-old singer from Bradford reveals that after over two years of dating the : 'Everything is great.'
Speaking of his girlfriend - with whom he announced his split in March only to - Malik gushes: 'She’s super-organised and I’m really not. It helps that she can get things together for me a little bit. I lean on her a lot.'
On the subject of relationships, the singer also admits that despite his stellar singing career as one fifth of One Direction, he didn't form a single friendship with his bandmates.
'I have always been a bit like that, though - always a bit of an island,' he reveals, three years after he unexpectedly left the boyband. 'I don't like to confer with too many people.
'I ain't spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you,' he adds. 'That's just the way it is. There's things that happen and things that were said after I left. Snide things. Small things that I would never have expected.'
Opening up about his five years working in the X Factor-made group, adds: 'We went from theatres, to arenas, to stadiums - there was never any sort of bridge between. Just boom, boom, boom.
'I guess that kind of progression to any mind - but especially when you're 17, 18 - it kind of affects you a little bit. People take it different ways - especially when there are five different personalities. The relationships had broken apart.'
'That's just the way it is. People move on, people grow apart, people grow up.'
At the time of leaving the band in 2015, Malik released an exclusive statement to to say: 'My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined.
'But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart.'
He continued: 'I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.
'I know I have four friends for life in Louis [Tomlinson], Liam [Payne], Harry [Styles] and Niall [Horan]. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world.'
The singer released his debut solo single 'Pillowtalk' in 2016 and went straight to number one. He has since scored five more Top 40 hits including collaborations with Sia and Taylor Swift.
