You might know Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but it sounds like Palace insiders know the couple under a completely different guise.
A royal source has revealed to the that the pair's bodyguards refer to the royals as David Stevens and Davina Scott, respectively.
'What bizarre names!' you cry.
Well, yes that's true, but the fake names are actually inspired by the couple's official titles, which share the initials 'DS'.
Prince William and Kate Middleton allegedly go by Danny Collins and Daphne Clark for the same reason; their titles are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The source explained: 'If anyone got hold of a phone belonging to a royal aide or security team member, they won’t find Harry Windsor and Meghan’s names in it.
'It is far too risky in the wrong hands. They get given code names but they are changed regularly for obvious reasons.'
The insider recalled how at a recent event, a worker was told by Harry’s aide that he had a call for him.
'The assistant held up his mobile and it had some random name come up on the screen,' they explained.
'The chap went: "Why would I want to speak to him?" Imagine the surprise he got when he heard Harry’s voice on the other end of the line.
A royal spokesman reportedly failed to comment on the code name claims, no doubt because they wouldn't want to put the pair's security at risk.
Heck, with news like this in the public domain, the couple have probably already been given new code names.
Let the guessing game commence!
