Well, prepare yourselves because Meghan Markle’s dad has reportedly had a change of heart and wants to travel to the UK to walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding day on Saturday.
reports Thomas Markle Sr has exclusively told the publication that he’s returned to hospital after experiencing serious chest pains and is undergoing tests. However, if the doctors give him the all-clear, he plans to stand by his daughter’s side this weekend.
‘I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle,’ he told the publication.
The father also says that despite previous reports, the Suits star has reached out to him since news of him collaborating with the paparazzi for ‘staged’ photos.
Meghan tried calling him Monday but he was not near his phone. She followed up with a text telling him she loved him and was concerned about his health. He says she harbors no ill feelings toward him for making a deal with a paparazzi agency to stage photos of him getting ready for the wedding.
Markle Sr also reportedly ‘scoffed’ at the idea that other members of the royal family might be upset with him.
‘I don't think the Queen is thinking about what I'm doing,’ he allegedly told the publication.

Meghan’s father, who was widely believed to be en route to the UK for the nuptials, also allegedly claims that he suffered a heart attack six days ago, but checked himself out of the hospital so he could attend the wedding.
However, he has since decided to not travel to the UK so as not to embarrass the Royal Family or his daughter following recent allegations of collaborating with the paparazzi.
Over the weekend, the published CCTV images and interviews with staff at an internet cafe and a make-shift tailors in Mexico, alleging that recent 'candid' pictures of him were staged with the help of photographers.
The 72-year-old has reportedly told TMZ he meant no harm to Meghan or the Royal Family when he made a deal to allow a photo agency to take pictures of him preparing for the royal wedding, suggesting that while money was on the table, it wasn't as much as people had thought and it was not his primary reason for staging the photographs.
The publication reports the Mexican-based former television lighting director admits the photographs of him look ‘stupid and hammy’ and that he regrets having had them taken.
'He's now decided not to go [to the wedding] because he doesn't want to embarrass the Royal Family or his daughter,' TMZ reports.
It's claimed that since news broke that the Suits star was dating Prince Harry, Markle Sr has been offered up to £73,000 for interviews, claims which he has rejected.
Kensington Palace has now also commented on these developments.
Referring to the reports that Meghan’s father will no longer be attending the royal wedding, per a tweet from royal commentator Charlie Proctor, the Palace's statement reads: ‘This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation.’
Earlier today reported that a source claims the Palace has been offering Markle Sr support since allegations of 'staged' images came to light and would ‘continue to make interventions with the media out of concern for his safety and security’.
