The royal wedding has influenced the top spot for the most popular summer family attraction in the UK.
Windsor Castle’s bookings have increased by 92 per cent following the royal nuptials of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
, an online retailer of global tours, gathered data from more than 1,000 customers to find this summer’s most popular experiences.
Windsor Castle was the leading attraction, followed by the London ‘Hop on Hop Off’ bus tour, the Tower of Manchester Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland and finally a cruise along the River Thames.
Even the hot weather hasn’t stopped ticket sales this year, with a 56 per cent overall growth in UK ticket sales compared to previous years.
Iconic spots such as the London Eye weren’t as popular when compared to some of the more unique attractions.
France is also popular this year; Isango! also found that Paris is a top destination for families, with bookings for a ‘Hop on Hop Off’ bus, a cruise down the Seine and tickets to visit Disneyland Paris.
