Earlier this week, fans were dismayed when they watched . The videos, which were called ‘triggering’ by many, saw siblings Khloé and Kendall Jenner praising Kim’s weight loss by calling her ‘skinny’ and ‘anorexic’.
Since then, celebrities have similarly spoken out about the harmful message these clips send to fans.
Jameela Jamil, actress, former model and body positive activist took to Instagram to share her opinion, alongside Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz and Emmy Rossum.
Beatriz wrote, ‘Kim Kardashian saying what she weighs and her sister's complimenting her being so skinny is like eating my brain rn.’
Both shared experiences of being Kardashian West’s current weight, and how unhealthy they were at the time.
Possum went on to trash the oft-quoted ‘nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ by naming all the things that do.
Now Khloé has responded to the backlash in a pretty underwhelming way.
Whilst talking to the new mother explained that she was simply complimenting her older sister, 'She looks great and I'm praising her for looking good. But she always looked good.'
The fitness mogul dismissed her fan's concerns by saying, 'People take anything and just run with it.'
She went on to say, 'My friends and family, they know our intentions in our hearts, and that just doesn't matter in my everyday life.'
Whilst we have no doubt Khloé's intention was to praise her sister for her hard work in the gym, we wonder whether there could have been a better way to do it.
