Former President Barack Obama revealed over the weekend that, whilst he was an A-grade student, he was quite the rebel too.
The 57 year-old took a trip down memory lane at a Democratic rally in Orange County on Saturday, detailing the two trips he has taken to Disneyland in Florida.
As a Hawaiian native, Obama described his first trip to the epic park as his ‘first big trip to the mainland’. Then 11 years-old, Obama travelled with his grandmother, mum and little sister across multiple states, though it was the visit to Walt Disney’s playground that was clearly the ‘highlight.’
'I went and did all the, you know, the Bare Necessity thing and, you know, the Small World [ride] and the Matterhorn,' Obama said to the crowd, waxing lyrical of his time there, 'I mean, it was the bomb.'
Unfortunately, the 44th President’s second trip to the magical kingdom was slightly less PG. Whilst studying for his undergraduate degree at Occidental College, young Obama attended a Kool & the Gang concert back at Walt Disney’s theme park.
After the show, the student and his friends went onto he gondolas to smoke. Obama explained, ‘I'm ashamed to say this—so close your ears young people. But a few of us were smoking on the gondolas.'
The father-of-two was quick to point out, ‘No, no. These were cigarettes, people.’ Since the politician has .
This discretion was enough to get Obama and his friends escorted from the premises, 'This is a true story everybody, I was booted from the Magic Kingdom.'
Though, the security guards still encouraged the naughty students to return whenever they wished, 'I thought, "Well that was nice of them."'
Somewhere Malia and Sasha are cringing.
