The Duchess of Sussex has long had a keen eye for accessories, and now, she's given one of her favourite pair of earrings a trendy update. While attending the European premiere of the live-action remake of The Lion King in London on Sunday, July 14, Meghan showed off her favourite pair of Lorraine Schwartz diamond studs, which the jeweller freshly updated with removable onyx jackets.
The duchess last wore the emerald-cut earrings at June's Trooping the Colour celebration, when the jewels were just diamond studs. Now, Meghan can customise the earrings depending on her mood.
Sunday famously marked the first meeting between the Duchess of Sussex and Beyoncé, who voices Nala in the new Lion King. The two hugged and expressed their admiration for each other—fans even caught the singer mouthing “my princess” as she embraced Meghan!
Queen Bey also attended the event decked out in Lorraine Schwartz diamonds, pairing the jeweller's earrings and rings with a glorious custom Cong Tri gown.
This isn't the first time the Sussexes tapped Schwartz's design skills. For his first wedding anniversary, Prince Harry collaborated with the jewellery designer to build an eternity ring for the Duchess of Sussex. The ring features an emerald, sapphire, and peridot stone—the birthstones of Harry, Meghan, and Archie. Harry also had Schwartz resize and reset Meghan’s engagement ring with a new diamond band.
