If you miss the days of controversial and 'edgy' adverts, such as Tom Ford's Gucci ad starring perfectly manicured (and monogrammed) pubes, then look no further than the new Calvin Klein offering.
Starring 22-year-old Bella Hadid, wearing a 'Calvin'-emblazoned black t-shirt, cycling shorts, tube socks and dad trainers, the advert sees the young model kiss someone other than her long time boyfriend The Weeknd.
'Fashion is about opening doors', Hadid's voiceover says as the camera zooms into her bare face and slick-backed hair, 'creating new dreams, that you never knew could exist.'
In fact, Hadid is joined by 19 year-old digital robot Lil Miquela, who is dressed in a red tracksuit, trainers, and her hair in space buns. The film goes on to show the unexpected pair sharing a kiss.
Fans of the clip on Instagram are already going wild at the two influencer's union, with plenty wondering what The Weeknd thinks of all this: '@theweeknd have left the chat' wrote one Instagram user.
Called, 'Bella Hadid and Lil Miquela Get Surreal' the brand explains of the advert, '19-year-old robot Lil Miquela blurs the lines of truth and fiction with Bella Hadid. Is this a dream or real?'
The title and content seemingly plays upon the brand's recent set of adverts, that have starred Kendall Jenner, Indya Moore, Billie Eilish and others revealing their personal 'truth'.
