Rodarte has teamed up with US brand Universal Standard to create a plus-size collection available to buy now. The range features four styles in varying colourways that each reflect Rodarte's signature romance.
The offering features a ruffled jumpsuit, cinched in at the waist with a belt; a blouse with theatrical ruffles adorning the sleeves and v-neckline; a flattering knee-length dress with a a square neckline and asymmetric hem; and high-waisted skirt, again belted with a sash and decorated with cascading ruffles.
The collection is affordable, ranging between $150 to $240 (£114 - £183) - far from Rodarte's typical signature price tags.
'It shouldn’t be a far-fetched possibility for women of all sizes to have access to contemporary, ready-to-wear fashion, and experience supreme quality and design when buying clothing,' Alexandra Waldman, Universal Standard co-founder and chief creative officer.
For those unfamiliar, Universal Standard was launched in 2015 to give plus-size women sartorial options that feel stylish, affordable and high quality. Given that the average UK dress size in 16 and in the US a size 14, the brand continues to tap into an underserved market to much acclaim.
