Besides a general coming together of everyone 'super' in the fashion industry – supermodels, super hair stylists and super makeup artists - Style Week is exciting for the opportunity to have a first look at the new innovations in make-up.
Artists are given products a whole season early to use on the models, and we, the intrepid beauty journalists, see it in action first.
Want to know what is coming up for your autumn winter make-up bag?
Nars Audacious Lip Palette and Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer (out September 2018)
Backstage at Adeam, make-up artist Sado Ito wanted the girls to look 'beautiful by themselves' so, after a Radiant longwear foundation base ( to get a natural glow), he used the not-out-yet lip palette and lacquer in surprising ways.
First, and best tip: Use a coral lipstick in place of blush, it melts into the skin more naturally so the skin looks glowing from the inside. Actual shade used: 'Disobedience' from the Audacious lipstick Palette.
On the lips, Santo Domingo Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer.

Tom Ford Extreme Shadow and New Collagen Boosting Lip (out March 9th 2018, and August 2018 respectively)
Pat McGrath used the new Tom Ford Extreme eye collection to create the suitably sexy glistening smoke for Kaia Gerber and co. at Tom Ford. The perfect companion for that Swarovski headband you'll be wearing soon, right?
Endlessly cool make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench talked us through the foil and glitter collection after the show, think super-pigmented, creamy textures that buff in for an extreme glimmer finish. Exact shade used in the show: TFX10.
The lips were finished in a new TF lip innovation (we don't even have a name for it yet), but it's a full-coverage formula with collagen and marine-based fillers so the lips look plumped.
There are also turquoise, copper, blue and aubergine brow tints. Yes, blue Tom Ford eyebrows are round the corner.
Alternatives you can wear right now:
Jeremy Scott x MAC Cosmetics (out now)
Make-up artist Kabuki used Jeremy's (already cult status) shades to create the '80's Futuristic Pop' look on the girls in the neon rainbow wigs at Jeremy Scott.
Thought you wouldn't want plastic 3D 'wings' on your eyelids, accentuated with the Boombox turquoise, orange, pink, yellow and green in the inner corners?
You just changed your mind? We'll be embracing full on colour come autumn.
Nars Climax Mascara and Mahe Shadow Quad (out September)
Make-up artist Diane Kendal used her Nars remit to create a 'powerful beauty' look backstage at Alexander Wang.
This meant strong brows (using matte eyeshadow and gel), glowing, expensive skin, and serious, no-mess lashes with new Nars Climax mascara, our in the Autumn. Eyes were 'grey into the crease of the eye, then underneath, with a darker shade from the Mahe shadow quad over the banana socket'.
